Strong leadership noted at Haberdashers’ Crayford
Three things that surprised us about our inspection:
- It was surprisingly not stressful at all due to the preparation we had put in place beforehand especially for the 90 minute call.
- Relationships with the inspection team is key, build trust and be open and it works out well.
- Remember you know your school better than anyone so ensure you have every opportunity to show off how great the school team and pupils are.
One strength identified by the inspectors was our leadership and management, particularly our leadership work building the curriculum and relationships with pupils.
The inspectors were able to identify this strength because they were able to triangulate what they saw in lessons, heard from staff and heard from pupils.
Things our school did that enabled the inspectors to identify this strength:
We had results information available in the room on display when they visited.
We had prepared for the 90 minute call so were able to guide the call in the direction we wanted it to go rather than be led.
We had an open line of communication on TEAMS with staff supporting the inspection so that everyone knew how we were doing throughout and were informed of anything that may be needed.
