Peareswood Primary School is now an Apple Distinguished School

Headteacher Carla Ferla is thrilled with receiving this recognition, “This incredible achievement reflects the unwavering dedication and ambition of our team to provide the very best for our children. By embracing Apple technology, we’ve created an environment where our young learners not only thrive but are empowered with the tools to excel in the digital age.”
Peareswood uses CAST’s Universal Design for Learning framework to improve and optimise teaching and learning based on scientific insights into how humans learn. At the core of the framework is the belief that learners are variable – what works for one learner will not work for the whole class, with a focus on equity and opportunity in the classroom.
Julie Carson, Director of Education for Woodland Academy Trust says, “This achievement highlights our collective commitment to fostering innovation and excellence in education. It is a reflection of the dedication of our staff and the enthusiasm of our students as we embrace forward-thinking approaches across our schools.”
