Bexley Oracy Conference – Friday 13th March 2026

Empowering Voices. Strengthening Teaching. Transforming Learning.
Since 2023, oracy has been at the heart of Bexley’s commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people. Our journey began with the Mayor of London’s Talk Matters project, supporting speech, language, and communication development for primary pupils across the borough. Today, oracy continues to take centre stage as a key strand of our Curriculum and Assessment Review, and as the foundation for the growing Bexley Oracy Network.
This year’s Bexley Oracy Conference invites educators from every phase to explore how high-quality oracy practice strengthens the pedagogical core of great teaching. Whether in early years, primary, secondary, or post‑16, we know that good teaching is good teaching – no matter the phase.
