Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Annual Report 2023-2024

The London Borough of Bexley has been delivering the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme which is being funded by the Department for Education since 2021.

The HAF programme provides a variety of fun activities, including sports, food making activities, arts and crafts and other exciting opportunities to learn and develop skills. It’s for school aged children and young people from Reception to Year 11, and runs during the Easter, summer and winter school holidays.

Places are funded for those who receive benefits-related Free School Meals (FSM) and attend a school in Bexley. Children and young people also receive a free balanced meal as part of their day.

Benefits-related FSM are available to children and young people if their parents are in receipt of one of the qualifying benefits. Please note that they are different from universal infant free school meals (which provide free meals to all pupils in reception, year 1, and year); and the Mayor’s Free School Meals Initiative (which provide free meals to all pupils in Key Stage 2 attending a school in a London Borough).

The programme’s annual report for 2023-2024 has now been published and you can read it here: https://www.bexley.gov.uk/holiday-activities-food-programme/bexleys-holiday-activities-and-food-programme/introduction
