Schools awarded the Bexley Oracy Bronze Award

We are delighted to award Lime Wood, Northumberland Heath, Peareswood, St Paul’s (Slade Green), and Willow Bank with the Bexley Oracy Bronze Award.

This award recognises schools that have embedded oracy within their culture, curriculum, and community. Each of these schools has established strong foundations for oracy development, demonstrating a reflective approach, collaborative spirit, and evident enthusiasm for helping pupils become confident, articulate, and thoughtful communicators. Setting them in great stead to work towards the silver award.

These five schools are also the founding members of The Bexley Oracy Network, which will officially open to all Bexley schools in Summer 2026 – an exciting step for oracy and pedagogy across the borough.
