WDSP&G to set up groups to address three key focus areas
Members of the Workforce Development, Succession Planning and Governance sub-group used their meeting of 5th July 2021 to plot out their workflow for the next academic year 2021-22. Three task and finish groups will be set up in the autumn term to progress work around the CPD and career stage expectations framework, a governance framework and work around wellbeing.
Early indications from the questionnaire sent to head teachers suggested that there was interest in developing a CPD and career stage expectations framework but that it would be useful to receive more views. Upskilling governance and creating clear succession planning pathways would be supported by Governor Executive Forum, whose experienced members may be able to support with mentoring. Lastly, the wellbeing group would explore creating a Bexley wellbeing award for schools, a wellbeing network and a wellbeing signposting document aimed at staff and pupils.
