Participation boosted by membership process
Despite the pressures of the pandemic, the membership process has been successful in boosting direct participation in the Strategic Education Partnership, attracting new members to every sub-group. All Bexley schools are, as before, members of the Strategic Education Partnership and can find out about all the work that is going on via the monthly newsletter and the website – particularly the news and insight page, the sub-group pages and the document centre.
Following the process there are now more than a third more head teachers and two-thirds more governors involved than directly before the process. Three out of five sub-groups have welcomed at least one new co-chair and all have between one and six new head teachers as well as at least one new governor. Of the existing members, only six stood down.
Compared to the outset of the Strategic Education Partnership in January 2018, 80% more primary and 50% more secondary schools are represented and nearly twice as many multi-academy trusts. And, many more schools and academies are involved with various task and finish groups and pilot projects.
You can see exactly who is on the Strategic Board here and on each of the sub-groups at the bottom of each sub-group page (using the Sub-group dropdown menu on the homepage).
