We are so proud of all the 2300+ children who take part in Children’s University from 15 different schools across Bexley and their commitment to taking part in learning outside the classroom. This ranges from lunchtime and after-school clubs in their schools to completing Children’s University challenges to taking part in activities with Learning Destinations or even attending workshops with the London Fire Brigade or Family Eco Workshops! Pupils who have earned at least 30 hours of extra-curricular learning are invited to attend to the graduation ceremony to celebrate their achievements and pupils can graduates at multiple levels across a number of years, so there is always something to aim for!
This year, graduates attended ceremonies where they were presented with their certificates whilst wearing the traditional graduation gown, mortar board and stole! Our guest speakers included the Mayor of Bexley, Stephen Kitchman, Joan Woodham and Kevin Taylor and the entertainment was provided by graduates as well as pupils from All The Arts Theatre School and Theatre Pox Performing Arts Academy! They were also given cones of popcorn, a graduation badge and a portrait photo as graduation gifts!
A huge thank you to all the schools, staff, families and Learning Destinations that support our work and well done to all the graduates!
