Raise aspirations through the Children’s University
Bexley schools are invited to take part in the Children’s University, a national scheme to encourage 7 to 14 year olds to participate in extra-curricular activities and visit designated learning destinations, with a view to raising their aspirations whilst fostering a love of learning. Learning destinations include libraries, museums, parks and weekly clubs. They can also include local employers and the Education Performance and Achievement sub-group is keen to get more on board.
Passports are issued to record the children’s endeavours and a university-style graduation ceremony is held at the end of each year to recognise achievement.
