Governor Executive Forum to support WDSP&G task and finish group

The Bexley Governor Executive Forum will soon be involved in the Workforce Development, Succession Planning and Governance task and finish group looking at the governor career map and governor mentoring.
It provides an opportunity for governors to contribute towards the improvement of education for all children and young people in all schools and academies in Bexley and is independent, with no political affiliation.
The Governor Executive Forum promotes communication amongst all governors and between governors and the local authority as well as providing a voice for Bexley governors in making representations to local and central government and other relevant authorities or bodies on matters of common concern.  It aims to broaden participation in school governance and encourage co-operation between governing bodies, and all schools within the borough and to provide a mechanism for formal communication with the LA.  It also makes recommendations to the LA with regard to governor training requirements and promotes events, conferences and seminars locally.
The group meets six times a year, including an annual conference and minutes from the meetings will now be published on this website so that all governors can access them.  We endeavour to draw our membership from a representative sample across the different types and phases of schools.
