Head Teacher Induction booklet published

A head teacher induction booklet for head teachers new into post in Bexley has been published, meeting one of the key deliverables promised by the Workforce Development, Succession Planning and Governance sub-group in March 2019.

The booklet contains an overview of the schools and academies in Bexley, including an up-to-date map; information about the local leadership systems and structures; arrangements for safeguarding and supporting children; emergency contacts and the local authority’s services to schools.  There is also a contact list of relevant personnel in the local authority and a selection of useful website links.  The contact list will be updated each term on the website version.

A hard copy of the booklet will go to new head teachers, but all head teachers may find the e-booklet useful for its hyperlinks and contact numbers.  This is now stored in the document centre of the website.
