Spotlight on wellbeing
Members showed concern that the wellbeing of school staff was not explicit in their core priorities at the Workforce Development, Succession Planning and Governance sub-group meeting of 21st January 2021. As such, they agreed to present small changes to their priorities to the Strategic Board on 11th March 2021.
This discussion led to additions to the sub-group action plan to include the development of toolkits around staff induction and wellbeing and a CPD framework to develop teaching staff in their second and third years of teaching. Members also worked on a Welcome to Governance booklet which will be published shortly in two forms to address the differing requirements of maintained schools and academy trusts.
