First three-year SEN Commissioning Plan
A three-year SEN Commissioning Plan, currently in draft form, was presented to the School Places and Planning sub-group on 4th December 2018. Although a Commissioning Plan has been published before for mainstream school places, this is the first time one will be published for SEN places.
The Plan gives details of: the Bexley context; the demand for places; an analysis of Bexley’s specialist provision, and details of capital spending. Bexley Council has the statutory responsibility to provide suitable SEN provision for as many pupils in the borough as possible minimising the number of pupils having to travel out of the borough for their specialist education.
