Co-ordinated Admissions Policy 2025
All schools, with the exception of Independent schools, must be part of the co-ordinated process for admission to reception; junior and secondary schools. Each year, the Local Authority is required to formulate a ‘qualifying scheme’.
We have attached the proposed scheme For 2025-2026 admissions, the scheme is to be adopted no later than 28 February 2024. If the scheme is not secured by that date, the Secretary of State can impose a scheme that would not take account of local decisions . For the purposes of this document going forward, where the words ‘school’ or ‘schools’ is used it refers to both maintained schools and academies.
