Information for Primary Heads and Trust Leaders 17.5.24

School Places and Planning

Thank you to everyone who was able to join our School Places and Planning meetings over the past term for Primary Headteachers and Trust leaders. We hope you found them informative and helpful and please be assured that these conversations will continue into the next academic year so that we can continue to support you in whatever way you need it.

Please find attached a letter outlining the next steps and answers to some of the frequently asked questions from the meetings.

You will also see that I have attached data outlining the most up-to-date data we have on admission places. This also includes how this data compares to the PAN for each school/area and how this compares to the SCAP forecast that was shared as part of the initial meetings. You can see this for all planning areas across Bexley as this was something requested by a number of schools so that they could see the picture in neighbouring planning areas. Please be aware that these are not final numbers and they will continue to change as places are accepted, but we will send out an updated version each fortnight so that you can keep an eye on any changes.

If you wish to view the data, please visit our Data Dashboard on this website, which you can access via https://sep-bexley.org.uk/resources/data-dashboard/

For those schools that have not yet had a follow-up meeting following the initial meeting, we will shortly be in contact to arrange this. For all schools, we will hold a virtual meeting before the end of the academic year to bring everyone up-to-date with where we are and how we will be progressing in the 2024-2025.

In the meantime, if you have any questions or would like to discuss this further, please do not hesitate to get in touch with myself, Kevin or Doreen.
