Consultation on draft framework for Ofsted inspections
Gaynor Roberts, Senior HMI Schools, London Region, encouraged head teachers to give their views on the new draft Ofsted inspection framework before the closing date of 4th April 2019. Results of the consultation will be published.
She said that the new system puts curriculum at the heart of the new framework, returning the focus of inspections to the real substance of education rather than internal performance data, which she anticipated would reduce teacher workload.
Head teachers also received a summary of the ISOS One-year-on Review of the Strategic Education Partnership, confirmation of the work programme of each sub-group as discussed at the Strategic Board meeting of 14th March 2019 and updates from the School Places and Planning and Inclusion sub-groups.
