Insights into Ofsted’s deep dive into reading. A learning visit at St John Fisher Catholic Primary School

The first learning visit of 2020, part of the school-to-school support offer co-ordinated by the Education Performance and Achievement sub-group, will be hosted by St John Fisher Catholic Primary School on Wednesday 29th January.  Head teacher Sarah Griffin and her team will be sharing their recent experience of Ofsted inspection helping to dispel any myths about the deep dive into reading.

The morning, which is aimed at English subject leaders and teachers, will run from 8:45am to 11:15am.  It will include a briefing about the school’s recent deep dive experience and observations of phonics (EYFS and KS1) and guided reading (in KS2) sessions.  Delegates will then have the opportunity to come together to discuss what they have learnt and put it in their own context.
