Paul Moore, Acting Chief Executive, chaired the Strategic Board meeting of 11th October 2018 in which members agreed that, to be transformative, they need to encourage everyone in the schools community to participate, including attending the Head Teachers’ Forum which is the main channel of communication for the Strategic Education Partnership at present.

Board members also discussed the forthcoming website for the partnership, which is a serious attempt to create an open conversation with all Bexley schools and academies. Strategic Partnership board and sub-group members, Bexley headteachers and chairs of governors and senior executives of academy trusts operating in Bexley will be able to access the site which, initially, will contain all paperwork to do with meetings. Over time it may evolve further to include other areas of education.

Board members also discussed the issue of membership of the Strategic Partnership and gave their views on each point. A draft membership document will be written on the basis of these views and will be brought to the next meeting in March 2019.
