Mental Health Awareness Week (11th-17th May 2026)

As part of Mental Health Awareness Week, the Public Health Team at Bexley Council is delighted to share a series of engaging daily communications to support both staff and students in promoting positive mental health and wellbeing. This year’s theme, ‘Action’, is all about taking simple, meaningful steps to support ourselves and one another. Each day brings a new focus:

  •   Monday highlights Teachers Taking Action to Support Mental Health (staff-focused)
  •   Tuesday explores Recognising Early Signs and Taking Action Early
  •   Wednesday encourages Everyday Actions for Wellbeing
  •   Thursday celebrates Kindness in Action
  •   Friday invites students to Take Action with Kooth for Their Wellbeing.

We encourage schools to share these posters digitally wherever possible, so students can easily access the embedded links and interactive resources. Let’s come together to make this week a positive, uplifting celebration of wellbeing across our school communities 😊
