New ways sought to manage EPA projects

At their meeting of 3rd March 2022, Education Performance and Achievement sub-group members considered how best to tackle capacity issues in the Local Authority and in schools in terms of their key projects, namely Reading for Pleasure and the Closing the Word Gap Toolkit.  They suggested that driving these projects forward could be offered to aspiring school middle leaders as part of their continuing professional development.

The secondary transition project, funded by the Education Endowment Fund, has 12 secondary and 10 primary schools involved and will continue to be led by the Local Authority.

Members also learnt the outcomes of the youth consultation into young people’s experiences of the creative arts, but did not have the capacity to be involved at the moment.
