Working together with Children’s Social Care to improve the experiences of professionals across education

One of the actions the Behaviour, Safeguarding and Attendance sub-group took from the Headteacher Forum was to gain greater clarity over some of the processes, timelines and expectations within social care, particularly relating to the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH).

The sub-group met with the service manager to address these concerns and we felt the following information would be helpful for both Designated Safeguarding Leads and Headteachers. This document outlines information relating to the questions raised and we hope you find it helpful, alongside the information on the Bexley website relating to concerns you have about a child, young person, family or professional.

The documents includes the following details:

  • Effective Support for Children, Young People and Families in Bexley
  • Contacting MASH and the new telephony system
  • Clarification around timelines and expectations
  • Contact details for Children’s Social Care
