Children and Young People & Substance Misuse – twilight session on 28th January from 3.30pm – 5.00pm on Teams
The session will be delivered by Herbert Apaloo, Specialist Schools Co-ordinator for Insight Bexley. Herbert will talk about how the service can support schools.
The following topics will also be covered:
- Understanding the role of Insight Bexley and how to refer individuals to Insight Bexley
- Understanding different drug categories
- Understanding the effects and risks of the substances we most frequently encounter in the borough
- Understanding reasons why individuals may choose to use substances
- Gaining confidence in discussing substances with young people
