Data-sharing agreement pilot set for the summer term
The new data-sharing agreement, which aims to provide more timely and effective support for our most vulnerable children, has been cleared by Bexley’s Legal Department and will be rolled out to all schools in the autumn term, Inclusion sub-group members learnt at their meeting of 24th March 2022. They will be encouraged to give their initial feedback on the document with some schools piloting the system over the summer term.
Members were then given a presentation around exclusions data for the six months from September to February 2021-22 and were told that suspensions and exclusions had risen on the same period in the previous year, with a significant rise in physical assaults. They hope to see more detailed breakdowns of the data at their next meeting including by key characteristics and year group, as well as by the number of suspensions and days suspended per pupil to allow them to tighten up their action plan going forward.
